The valiant motorcycle policewoman, one of Nan'an Traffic Police Brigade, escorted the child for medical treatment. We got in touch with her, one of the first female traffic polices in Nan'an. There are many stories about traffic police insisting on helping others. Let's listen together.
Every day, members of the mobile squadron of the traffic police brigade of Nan'an Public Security Bureau direct traffic at various junctions.
On the afternoon of February 13, Yue Zilei, a member of the traffic police brigade, was diverting passing traffic on the north side of Meilin Bridge in Nan’an City. At 05:48, during the rush hour, there was a lot of traffic on the bridge and the traffic speed on the road was slow. At that moment, a man in his 30s waved to Yue Zilei in a private car across the road. Seeing the man's anxious expression, Yue Zilei hurried over and realized that the man's child was sick with symptoms of convulsion, vomiting, and coma, and needed to be sent to the hospital immediately.
Knowing that the situation was urgent, Yue Zilei immediately rode the police motorcycle and sounded the siren to open up an emergency lane for the car.
Along the way, Yue Zilei roared "Please drive your car aside! " and consequently opened up a "life lane" from the congested traffic. At the same time, she didn't forget to let the man’s car follow and shouted: "Follow me!"
Originally, it takes more than 10 minutes to drive from the Meilin Bridge to Nan'an Hospital, but it only took 4 minutes to send the child there. Under the guidance of Yue Zilei, the man rushed into the emergency department with the unconscious child in his arms so that the child could be treated in time.
"At that time, I was very worried about the child when I saw that he was ill," she said. Yue Zilei has only been a member of the traffic police brigade for more than a year, and this is the first time she to rescue by creating a new lane. At that time, there was a lot of traffic on the road during rush hour. The first idea that came to her mind was saving lives, thus she stepped onto the motorcycle and sounded the siren, hoping that the child would be rescued quickly.
This is not a unique instance; it is common for the motorcycle police brigade to help people who encounter difficulties at work.
Yue Zilei remembers that she and her colleagues heard screaming for help from crowd when they were patrolling near Xinhua Street in Nan'an City at more than 5 p.m. on July 7, 2022. She rushed to help a middle school student who had convulsed and fell to the ground.Yue Zilei together with colleagues helped the convulsed student.
"At that time, a middle school student, who fell down in convulsions, was sweating and unable to move his hands and feet. We promptly came forward to assist." Yue Zilei and her colleagues quickly called 120 for aid. Meanwhile, she comforted the student patiently while massaging and relaxing his muscles. "Take a deep breath and don't be nervous. We are all here to help you and you will be fine!" "Don't worry, the ambulance is on the way."
When the ambulance arrived at the place, Yue Zilei and her colleagues worked with medical staff to carry the student on a stretcher and escorted them all the way to the hospital.
